Silver Fairy

Hello I hope everyone is keeping warm it's been very cold
here in South Wales but at least it's dry.
I'm out of my comfort zone with this card , but I wanted to
do something different for a change.

The image I used for this card is Silver fairy (Whimsy-Wee stamp) .I've been
tempted to buy her a few times but was always put off by her wings ( I don't
like things with wings LOL) ,but I'm so glad I gave in this week and bought
her I now think she's beautiful and a pleasure to colour. So not only have I
used a different image but I also used distress inks and aqua markers ,I must
be feeling ill no Tilda and no copics lol. The sakura pens also came out to
add a touch of glitter to her wings

List of what I used
Forest Moss -distress ink- for her dress and wings
walnut stain - distress ink- for her wings ,hair and shading
mocha  - aqua marker for her hair
golden brown -aqua marker-for her hair
peach deco-aqua marker -for her skin
spellbinders nesties labels 18
marianne design die-ribbon flora 1 ( for the swirl)
whimsy ticket sentiment stamps
whimsy ticket die
basic grey paper
my minds eye paper
prima flowers
marianne designs -snowflake
Sakura clear stardust gelly roll
Silver Fairy -wee stamp

Thanks for looking
Emma xx

Ooooh Emma, you would never know you were out of your comfort zone, that card is stunning!!! I love it! You've coloured it perfectly and your layout is gorgeous, and the little bit of glitter is just enough on her wings... and talking of wings, how can you not like fairies???????? LOL!

I'm just about to have a go with DI's to colour too... I saw a card the other day that inspired me to have a go, so I've dug out my water brush... wish me luck!

Hi Christine ,thank you for your lovely comment . Yes I did use watercolour card ( crafters companion )and good luck , but I've seen your colouring and it's fab so I don't think you'll need it . And I don't know what it is but I just don't like wings, I was even thinking about cutting her wings off , cruel I know I'm glad I never now as I think this fairy is beautiful , can't wait to use her again

Emma, this is beautiful. I wish I could do wings this well, I don't know why you hesitated to buy the stamp, you are a natural.

Hi Emma

I have a number of these Sylvia Zet fairy images but am never really happy with the way I do the wings and I had a very frustrating day yesterday. I woke up this morning remembering that you did this brilliant card and I had to log on and try to work out how you did these wings.

I'm not doing very well at figuring it out and I am more impressed with your skills than ever. I was also blown away by all of your amazing cards as I skimmed through them looking for this card. Do you ever have an off day? I don't think so.

I am really looking forward to meeting you in November and, hopefully, picking up a few tips from you.

Dionne xx
